Prison Ministry - Events ‘10

As part of the wider vision, Proclaim Trust is committed to Prison Ministry. This aspect of the work consists of the Prison Project (to send a copy of Barry's autobiography to every prisoner in the UK), correspondence with inmates via letters, and holding events in prisons and Young Offenders Institutes.

This is what Rev. Sandie Hicks, the Free Church Chaplain of HMP Rye Hill and HMP Dovegate, said about one of Barry's visits:

"When he spoke you could have heard a pin drop and the results were amazing! Barry engaged with our men right from the start and took them on an incredible journey with humour and truth.  He levelled with them in a way that the chaplains could never do.  He took them into a place of darkness and then out again to the bright sunshine of a new life in Jesus Christ.  He didn't pull any punches and the response was fantastic.  From our two groups, nearly 75% made a commitment to Christ that afternoon."
