An Advert for You
There was a Spanish father and son who fell out. The son ran away, and the father set off to find him. He searched for months but couldn’t find him anywhere. Finally, in a last desperate attempt to find him, the father put an advert in a Madrid newspaper. The ad read:

A student was given a car that wouldn’t start without a push. He came up with a plan. When he was at school, he would get the students to give him a push start, and whenever he parked the car, he would park on a hill.
The Ultimate Liberator
There is a true story about a woman called Wendy, who was trapped by rejection guilt and fear. Wendy’s mother had died when she was only three-years old, and her stepmother had always hated her. Wendy’s stepmother use to scrub her in scalding water until her skin was red and raw. ‘You are ugly!’ she would shout. ‘You’ll never have a boyfriend! No one could ever love you!’ So Wendy grew up believing she was ugly, stupid, and totally unworthy of anyone’s love. And even though Wendy was bright, when she got pregnant it did prove her stepmothers’ point: ‘I always said she was useless!’

Mt. Everest is the tallest mountain in the world. It rises over 29,000 feet above sea level, and can be seen from 100 miles away. The top of the mountain is so high that it reaches into the jet stream, where winds often exceed 200 miles per hour.

The story is told of two young boys who heard of a Wise One who lived up in the mountains and decided to go up there to play a prank on him so as to discredit him in the eyes of his followers below. When they saw him (for the Wise One had agreed to grant them an audience), they immediately put him to the test.
